This restaurant, featuring original ingredients from Brooklyn's famous The Dining Room, in Brooklyn, N.Y. was once famous for its '70s dive bar, with over 100 people at its peak. Chef John Noremello and his crew at the dive bar have since evolved many new dishes, and have perfected original dishes like fish salad with black bean rice and a spiced mushroom salad.

Dive Bar is the first restaurant to produce a $10 or more menu by bringing back the original ingredients from Brooklyn's original dive bar — which is now being converted to more local, organic offerings.

"We also wanted it to have the vibe of Brooklyn that we wanted this place in," Noremello said. "It really is a very different and more fun way to visit the Brooklyn District, and this is the first to be a part of it."

The first full restaurant in Manhattan, New York, is now the only one owned and operated by Noremello, who is also chairman of a number of companies that bring back different types of dive food.

"There's always been a perception that New York is a food-obsessed place, and yet the fact we can do a lot of the 'fun things' with our craft is just phenomenal," Noremello said. "We're really looking forward to seeing this change."
