When I first started cooking, I made patties out of my husband's cornstarch, then I cooked them in kettles. I liked ketchup; there was a moment I realized I didn't cook any kibble and turned to baking. I also realized I was not that person to make ketchup. This is where I started to experiment with using ketchup; and after a while, I realized that I should experiment.

To begin with, I went with using my own homemade white pickled green onions (or in case you are not familiar with the term pickled, pickled red onions). All of this resulted in a recipe that you can use both in meals or just a quick meal to satisfy a particular taste, like pickled brown rice.

When I started using my new, less costly, way of making ketchup I found my passion and love for all kinds of sauces. Even though I had only a small handful of traditional ceviche recipes, it was already easy to use.
